An amendment was introduced by Senator Moran on May 31st to defund these inspections. Please call the committee members and ask them to support this amendment.
Bottom line: Tell them you do not support funding inspections for horse slaughter.

Analogy of Pro Slaughter Propaganda
The "Unwanted Horse Theory", the term "Excess Horses", and the term "Humane Processing" are all used by pro slaughter proponents in their aggressive and deceptive campaigns promoting horse slaughter. The bottom line is that horse slaughter is driven by the market for horsemeat.
A lie remains a lie even when you try to cover it up.. just like in this grocery store analogy... Bleach can alter the fishy smell & taste when fish goes bad, but it doesn't improve the quality of the fish; instead you end up with camouflaged bad fish with a higher concentration of chemical toxins.
Those who support horse slaughter are promoting a lie, and one of the most barbaric violations of criminal animal cruelty.

Lets all hope that Slaughterhouse Sue doesn't get her way on this one! But we're all used to taking one step forward, and two or three back! Don't mean to sound like a stick in the mud, but where there's big $$$ on the line, they seem to always pull one outta their hats, don't they? Just don't want to get too excited till it's gone through. Just pray for our horses!!
