As many of you already know, the Judiciary sub-committee hearing on HR503 for Feb 2. 2010 has been postponed. We will keep you posted on when the hearing will be rescheduled.

Americans Against Horse Slaughter

RISE UP and TAKE ACTION FOR OUR AMERICAN HORSES!

Last week we sent you a statement that was issued to Americans Against Horse Slaughter by Chairman John Conyers Jr. stating that the transportation and slaughter of horses for human consumption is cruel and inhumane, and that he intends to continue his efforts to stop this terrible practice.

As you can see from the alert below, Chairman John Conyers Jr. is keeping his promise. Let's continue to support his efforts and Rise Up for our Americans Horses!

A hearing has been set on Feb. 2, 2010 before a Congressional subcommittee on H.R. 503, the Prevention of Equine Cruelty Act, a bill that would stop the export of American horses to foreign slaughter houses for human consumption and basically end the commercial trade and transport of American horses for slaughter for human consumption.
